Setup Android Virtual Machines for ActiveSync & MDM Testing
Hi in this post we will discuss a great new option to setup a test Android Virtual Devices for testing ActiveSync as well as Mobile Device Management policies & settings. Everyday a new OS is released and then comes in a new trouble of acquiring that device with specific OS to get an in-hand experience. This procedure now can allow you a part of the solution.
Lets start the procedure by:
1. Install the Java DK from Click Here
2. Install the Android SDK Click Here
Sometimes while installing the Android SDK on Windows (x64) systems you might face an error stating "Java setup not found". Dont worry i know you have installed the JDK.
Resolve the issue by copying the java.exe and javaw.exe files from C:\Windows System32 to C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder
3. Nopes, we're not done yet, Launch the SDK Manager and install the required Android API's, in my case I have installed the Android 4.2.2(Jelly Bean) OS for my testing
Okay, some of you are getting this screen with no API's listed. Dont worry, its just because you dont have the latest verion of the Android ADT bundle. Download the latest version and restart and it should work fine
4. After the installation of the API is complete open up the Android VD Manager.
