Enabling POP3 on Exchange 2010
In this POST we talk about enabling the well known POP on Exchange 2010.
In Exch2k10 POP is disabled by default so try the following steps to enable POP
Steps:
1. Enable the POP services from services.msc
2. Open the EMC and Navigate to Server Config->CAS->POP & IMAP-> Select POP and the Right Click and choose properties
Under the Binding tab if you’ve installed a certificate and secured the POP3 service change your ports as needed.
3. Now navigate to the other tabs as shown in the screenshots and choose the desired settings suiting your Exchange Environment else use the default values.
Now the only step left on you is to allow/enable the POP settings for users.
Go to the Mailbox and navigate to the "Properties" section of a user- Locate Mailbox Feature and enable POP .
This should allow the user to configure his account as POP on his Outlook.
