Guys its very hard to get rid of people who want to prove your work wrong or ruin your efforts by pin pointing what you have done. And yes and never cease to exist. I have a same kind of prick at ma work place. But wont bug you more on it. But I give him all the credit to bring me out of my Server 2012 world and fiddling again with Server 2003.

In this post we will create custom alerts to be shown on EventViewer for Low Disk Space.

1.   Start System Monitor.
2.   Expand the Performance Logs and Alerts node, right-click Alerts, and click New Alert Settings.
3.   Type a name for the Alert and click OK.
4.   On the General tab, click Add, and select the following object, instance, and counter:

Object
Instance
Counter
Logical Disk Space
Each Logical Volume Instance.
% Free Space

5.   In the Alert when the value is drop-down box, select Over and enter the limit(20%) for your environment.
6.   On the Action tab, the default selection is Log an entry in the application event log.
7.   Select the Schedule tab, click Start Log At, and enter the start time for the alert.
8.   Click Apply, and then click OK.

You'll be receiving an Information Log in Event viewer as shown below:

  4. Many online businesses understand what website Best Monitor is and realize that sometimes it is the one thing that can help make or break their online business. Server monitoring, on the other hand, is still often misunderstood.
